The effects of government malfeasance with Miranda Spivack

According to veteran journalist, Miranda Spivack, Americans are likely to encounter the effects of government malfeasance or neglect close to home — from governors, mayors, town councils, school boards, police, and prosecutors. Spivack tells the story of five people who started questioning their local officials and the secret deals they uncovered in her new book Backroom Deals in Our Backyards. She will discuss it at Books & Brews on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Pale Fire Brewing at 7pm. WMRA’s Chris Boros asked Miranda about her own experience with government secrecy as a journalist.
