This summer, WMRA is hitting the road for a Listening Tour—bringing our staff to communities across the region to meet you, our listeners, face-to-face. We want to hear what matters most to you, get your feedback on our service, and strengthen the connection that makes WMRA a true public radio station: listener-powered, listener-focused, and community-rooted.

We’re taking our newsroom on the road! Meet the voices you trust, share your thoughts, and help shape the future of WMRA.

Why It Matters:
WMRA is your source for trusted, independent journalism—local and national. Your feedback helps us deliver the news and stories that matter most in your life. From election coverage to local arts, we’re here to serve you, and we want to hear what you think.
The aim of these listening tour stops is to learn more about the communities we serve (from those who live there) and ask you what you love about it, what you want to know more about, and invite you to share any impressions or feedback you have about WMRA.
How to Engage:
Stop by, say hello, and let us know what’s on your mind. Can’t make it? Share your thoughts at WMRA@jmu.edu.
We Hope to See You There:
WMRA is more than just radio—it’s a community built on trust, curiosity, and your support. Join us this summer, share your story, and help us keep independent journalism strong in our region. We’re here to listen—because WMRA is powered by you!
