WMRA spent the summer of 2025 on the road, making stops across the Valley and Central Virginia to hear directly from you—bringing our staff to communities across the region to meet our listeners, face-to-face. We heard some great feedback and started to get a sense of what matters most to you, while strengthening the connection that makes WMRA a true public radio station: listener-powered, listener-focused, and community-rooted.
Our 2025 Tour Stops:
- Saturday, June 28: Staunton Farmers Market (8–11 a.m.) followed by Seven Arrows Brewing, Waynesboro (1–3 p.m.)
- Saturday, July 26: Lexington Visitors Center, Lexington (11 a.m.–2 p.m.)
- Saturday, August 16: Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Winchester (11 a.m.–2 p.m.)
Saturday, August 23: Harrisonburg Farmers Market (8 a.m.–1 p.m.)
Thank you to all who came out to meet us and share your perspectives!
Why It Matters:
WMRA is your source for trusted, independent journalism—local and national. Your feedback helps us deliver the news and stories that matter most in your life. From election coverage to local arts, we’re here to serve you, and we want to hear what you think.
The aim of these listening tour stops was to learn more about the communities we serve (from those who live there) and ask you what you love about it, what you want to know more about, and invite you to share any impressions or feedback you have about WMRA.
How to Engage:
