Support WMRA & WEMC
Monthly Donation = Sustainer!
More than 50% of our members are sustainers, providing WMRA with a predictable and reliable source of funding.
Single Donation- A one time annual gift, or an additional gift to your sustaining contribution.
What am I paying for?
The short answer is: All that you hear on WMRA. The largest expense is paying for the programs. You pay WMRA's essential, independent, fact based news and information from NPR, and our commitment to the community with more local stories than ever before. Your donations make a difference in providing public radio to Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Winchester, Staunton, Lexington, and all points in between.
WMRA brings you local news and information from our own newsroom, in addition to regional news from Virginia Public Radio, Virginia Public Media, and national and international news from NPR and the BBC. Programs like Morning Edition with Bob Leweke and All Things Considered with Kimberlea Daggy, and all of our local news features and reports are dependent on listener support. Day in and day out, you can rely upon WMRA for in-depth journalism and reasoned discussions of the issues and events of our time. When you contribute to WMRA, you are making this valuable service possible.
Send Us Your Comments - We love hearing what you have to say about WMRA, and now you can send us an audio recording of your comments to share with your fellow listeners. Just record a quick audio note with your mobile device and share it as an email to our main inbox - WMRA@JMU.EDU. If you need a few tips on how to make a recording and send it out way, check out this NPR guide to Sending Audio.

WEMC is Virginia's first public radio station, founded by Eastern Mennonite University in 1955. Today it serves the Shenandoah Valley with a wealth of classical music, including weeknight showcases of live recordings by orchestras from Chicago, Pittsburgh, New York, and around the Valley.
