How New Authors Got Big Bucks

Image: WMRA News (tw)

NPR has been tapping WMRA's Martha Woodroof to provide advice for aspiring novelists.  Martha tells about some cases of big money going to newly/never published writers.  Martha's column is on the NPR.org "Monkey See" culture blog.

(Martha is a good mentor about such matters since she wrote and wrote for years with little fanfare before her book, Small Blessings, was finally accepted by a major publishing house.)

Terry Ward was a WMRA producer and announcer from 1997 to 2016.
