2025 Fort Harrison Colonial Trades Fair

Learn how 18th Century colonial trades contributed to the settlement of the
Shenandoah Valley. Includes demonstrations of: white oak basketmaking,
flintknapping, colonial medicine & surgery, spinning and weaving, tape loom
weaving, farrier, smoked food preservation, broom making, pottery,
blacksmithing and more.
Meet our new tinsmith, Katlin McCreery!
Mike Hayslett, “Ye Lofarb Pedlar” will display and sell a variety of goods
required in an 18th Century home here on the frontier.
