Stamp Out ICE is a collection of small artworks created in protest of ICE on perforated, postage-stamp-like sheets. The show features over a dozen artists from across the U.S. and Canada, including three from Minneapolis, all expressing their ire over the federal takeover of many U.S. cities.
Visitors are invited to view the collection of stamp artwork, create postcards, explore a library of mail art books, and see a firsthand demonstration of artistamp perforation on an 1888 patented Rosback perforator.

Charlottesville NOW, with support from Virginia NOW, will host bestselling author and journalist Beth Macy on Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 PM at the Shenandoah Valley Art Center, 416 W. Main Street, Waynesboro.
Macy spent 25 years as a reporter for The Roanoke Times, covering the stories of people and communities across western Virginia. Her books examine work, opportunity, and the forces shaping life in rural America. Her first book Factory Man chronicled how globalization reshaped small towns. Dopesick explored the opioid crisis and was adapted into an Emmy- and Peabody-winning Hulu series she helped produce and write. Her newest book, Paper Girl, is a memoir about her childhood and her lifelong focus on community and resilience.
The program will include a talk, audience Q&A, book signing, and reception. Books will be available for purchase through Stone Soup Books (Waynesboro, Virginia).

Anicira Veterinary Center is excited to host the first-ever Mutt Strut 5K, a dog-friendly event through Harrisonburg’s Friendly City Trail and Hillandale Park.The Mutt Strut 5K is designed for dogs and humans alike. Every dog participant will receive a special race bandana, and runners and walkers without pets are warmly welcome. Whether chasing a personal record or just chasing squirrels, participants can enjoy springtime exercise while supporting a vital cause: 100% of race proceeds benefit Anicira Veterinary Center, helping pet families facing medical uncertainties when their pets become sick or injured.The race starts at 9:00 AM, and March 7 is the final day to register and be guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt. Shenandoah Valley Art Center presents a Monthly Print Demo: Mystique of the Japanese Print with Lana Lambert. Free and open to the public! Come join us and learn about the wonderful world of printmaking. Lana will share a presentation of one of the editions in her collection: The Moku Hanga Treasure Chest, Mystique of the Japanese Print. Created by artist David Bull of Asakusa, Japan, this collection was made as a way of educating collectors to the nuance and styles of Japanese woodblock printing. Lana will share this collection and discuss some of the why's and how's of the collection's significance. Print Club Demos are held every second Tuesday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the 416 Print studio.
