Each year hundreds gather on the rolling hills of James Monroe’s Highland, near Charlottesville. They’re here to take in the sights, sounds and smells of The Virginia Folklife apprenticeship program, and learn how residents are preserving cultural traditions. Ian Stewart reports on the program for Virginia Currents.
