Spring 2019 Fundraiser Giveaways

During WMRA's Spring 2019 Fundraiser, we gave away a queen-sized Serenity mattress from Savvy Rest, 4 passes to the Red Wing Roots Festival, and dinner and a concert for two, plus overnight accommodations at the Garth Newel Music Center

Everyone who contributed during the Spring 2019 fundraiser was entered to win, and all current sustaining members were also automatically entered in each drawing.

Week 3 Giveaway winner – Viola & Nate Miller from Harrisonburg!

Week 1 Giveaway winner – Jessica Hostetler from Harrisonburg!

4 passes to the 7th annual Red Wing Roots Music Festival, founded by Harrisonburg's own The Steel Wheels. These are 3-day passes to the entire festival at Natural Chimneys Park near Mt. Solon, VA - July 12-14. More than 40 bands are scheduled to perform across several stages. A few band highlghts include First Aid Kit , The Wood Brothers , Mandolin Orange , Peter Rowan , The Tim O’Brien Band , The Gibson Brothers, and Della Mae. Festival tickets typically sell out before the festival begins, and sellout crowds are expected once again this year. The four passes have a total value of $585.

Week 2 Giveaway winner – Stanely Abbot from Staunton!

Dinner and a concert for 2, plus overnight accommodations to the Garth Newel Music Center in Hot Springs, VA – winner chooses the dates. Founded in 1973, Garth Newel Music Center is a year-round chamber music venue situated in the heart of Virginia’s Allegheny Mountains, presenting over 50 concerts throughout the year performed by the Garth Newel Piano Quartet and other renowned guest musicians. A few upcoming concerts incude Recital Series: Stijn De Cock and Shannon Thomas, Recital Series: Ting-Ting Yen and Friends, Emerging Artist Alumni Showcase, Archduke Weekend: Slavic Passions, and Archduke Weekend: The French Riviera. This package is valued at $300. 

These Contest Rules Apply to All Giveaways for WMRA & WEMC:

1. One entry per household.
2. WMRA personnel or immediate family are not eligible to win.
3. Prizes are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged.
4. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries.
5. You must be 18 years or older to enter.
6. Winners are selected randomly.
7. Winners will be notified by telephone, email, or facebook message within 48 hours of their name being drawn.  If immediate personal contact cannot be made, we will leave a message.  If the winner does not contact WMRA in 48 hours of that notification, we reserve the right to pull another winner.
8. Upon notification and confirmation of winning, if the prize is located at WMRA, the prize must be picked up at WMRA within 30 days.  If it is not picked up, it reverts back to WMRA.
9. The winner is liable for all federal, state, and local taxes that may apply.
10. Sustaining members are automatically entered into all pledge drive related drawings. If the drawing does not occur during a pledge drive, it is not considered a pledge drive related drawing.
11. Method of entry will be determined at the time of each giveaway and may include Facebook entry, telephone entry, mail entry or web page entry. 
12. No pledge or monetary contribution is necessary to enter.
