Join us on March 28-29, 2026 for a restorative weekend of creativity and movement on the historic grounds of Highland.

Co-hosted by local author Andi Cumbo and Sterling Howell of Ragged Mountain Yoga, “Breath, Body, and The Page” is designed to help you step away from the noise of daily life and reconnect with your voice.

The weekend alternates between guided writing sessions to spark your creativity and gentle yoga practices to clear your mind—all set against the inspiring backdrop of the Highland landscape.

This event has demonstrations and activities that highlight potential farm hazards. Safety topics may include bicycle safety, weather safety, sun safety, handwashing safety, firearm safety, tractor safety, skid loader safety, electrical safety, fire safety, ATV safety, home alone safety, personal protective equipment safety, silo gases safety, and lawn equipment safety. This event will feature farm equipment used in safety demonstrations. Equipment includes a tractor, skid loader, lawn equipment, and/or an ATV. We hope each person attending our event will leave feeling they learned something new that can help keep themselves or someone else safe.
Event is geared towards 3rd- 8th graders.

Stamp Out ICE is a collection of small artworks created in protest of ICE on perforated, postage-stamp-like sheets. The show features over a dozen artists from across the U.S. and Canada, including three from Minneapolis, all expressing their ire over the federal takeover of many U.S. cities.

Visitors are invited to view the collection of stamp artwork, create postcards, explore a library of mail art books, and see a firsthand demonstration of artistamp perforation on an 1888 patented Rosback perforator.

Instructional, hands-on gardening workshop focused on summer seed starting, up potting, seedling care and planting schedules for Zones 7 & 8.

Participants will come away with a full tray of seasonal seedlings that they've planted and can take home to grow.

Potting Party will focus on summer veggies and flowers incliuding: squash, melons, pumpkins...plus Zinnias, sunflowers, Cosmos and other summer annuals!

Shenandoah Valley Art Center presents Loom Beading: Create Your Own Design with Cherie Witt. Unlock your creativity and learn the calming craft of loom beading in this beginner-friendly workshop. No prior experience is necessary. I will guide you through every step of the process. In this class, you will learn how to:
Properly warp your loom, weave with seed beads to create clean straight rows, follow a bead pattern chart, and
finish your project securely. This class is open to your creativity and design development. All tools and materials are included in the class fee. Loom beading may become your new favorite hobby!
