Walk: Getting to Know Oak Trees
Walk: Getting to Know Oak Trees
Fall colors bring our attention to Oak trees! Twenty-eight species of oak are found in Virginia and 12 of those are found in the Arboretum. Walk with us, learn to see the differences between them and to appreciate the unique role they play in our Eastern Deciduous Forests.
This is a guided walking tour of up to one hour covering about a half mile of mulched and paved trails. There will some gentle elevation change and uneven ground.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. You might consider bringing a water bottle and insect repellent.
