Unique Concert - "Our Roots of Influence"

Come and hear legendary violinist SCARLET RIVERA who played and toured with Bob Dylan, DARYL DAVIS, boogie woogie pianist for Chuck Berry, and prolific singer-songwriter CHRIS VAN CLEAVE who co-produced this show – plus two other notable guests – along with six noteworthy musicians from our area. Fuller details and bios on performers here.

Explore with them how the “godmother of rock’n’roll”, SISTER ROSETTA THARPE and folk legend WOODY GUTHRIE and others, influenced the popular music genres of music today, including Folk, Country, R&B, Gospel, Boogie Woogie, Rock&Roll, and Blues.

This unique concert takes the audience on a journey, looking at the roots that influenced much of the music industry as it evolved through the 60’s to current day. Hear how these international performing artists were influenced, yet also branched out into their own styles and original music. Reception Q&A with artists after concert.
