The LIFEworks Project of Waynesboro, Va. is proud to announce the opening of The River City Bread Basket Client Choice Outlet! The food pantry located at 505 N. Winchester Ave. will be a resource to the residents of Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta County. The client choice model will welcome individuals and families to select the items of their choosing in a shopping experience that is similar to any grocery store. With expanded hours of operation that include 2 Saturdays a month. We look forward to meeting the needs of citizens who have challenging schedules, but need access to food nonetheless. All of the food in the store will be free! Individuals will be encouraged to sign up for USDA foods to meet eligibility requirements. Partner pickup food from local grocery stores will allow a wide range of selections that include fresh meat, produce and bakery items! Please mark your calendars and save the date! We will begin at 9am and shopping will begin at 10am to 2pm! Refreshments will be served!
