Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School presents THE CLOCKMAKER’S DAUGHTER

Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School presents THE CLOCKMAKER’S DAUGHTER

A statue stands in the middle of the Spindlewood town square. A beautiful young woman, frozen in time. Every year, on the last night of winter, a crowd gathers around the statue to hear her story and to see if this is the night she will finally re-awaken. Shenandoah Valley Governor's School, in association with ShenanArts, is delighted to share her story in the Virginia premiere of THE CLOCKMAKER’S DAUGHTER by Michael Webborn and Daniel Finn, January 22-25, 2026.
Once upon a time, a clockmaker, devastated by the loss of his daughter, sought to replicate her likeness in clockwork. When his creation mysteriously comes to life, the clockmaker tries to keep her safe by locking her away. However, Constance is determined to discover the world outside and touches the lives of everyone in their small village along the way.
A fresh, enchanting fairytale, THE CLOCKMAKER’S DAUGHTER will leave audiences asking how we best use the time that’s given to us.
