SHENANDOAH VALLEY BACH FESTIVAL Concert III

Festival Concert III
Saturday, June 17th, Eastern Mennonite University's Lehman Auditorium, 7:30pm

The final festival concert, focused on a central theme of nature and climate, features a diverse array of works ranging from beloved classics to breathtaking and beautiful new compositions. The SVBF Choir performs a selection from Haydn's The Seasons, Siblelius' inspiring tone poem Finlandia, the ethereal masterpiece Beyond the Years by living composer Zachary Wadsworth, and powerful work inspired by ancient Incan culture, Pachamama Meets an Ode by living composer Gabriela Lena Frank. The concert draws to a fitting close with Schumann's great "Spring" symphony.
