SHENANDOAH VALLEY BACH FESTIVAL Concert II

SHENANDOAH VALLEY BACH FESTIVAL Concert II

Festival Concert II
Friday, June 16th, Eastern Mennonite University's Lehman Auditorium, 7:30pm

2023 Festival Conductor Daniel Myssyk, makes his Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival debut in dramatic fashion with titanic masterworks by two musical giants, Ludwig van Beethoven and Wynton Marsalis. This concert pairs two works that represent new groundbreaking directions for both composers: a violin concerto by a jazz legend in the case of Marsalis, and a symphony that forever transformed symphonic writing in the case of Beethoven and his Third symphony, the "Heroic" symphony. Virtuoso violinist Brendon Elliott also makes his debut with with Myssyk and the SVBF Orchestra in what will surely be an unforgettable evening.

Tickets are general admission pay-what-you can from $10-$40 available at https://emu.edu/box-office/
