Shenandoah Valley Art Center and Make Waynesboro Clay present: Sales & Marketing for Pottery & Other Fine Craft Workshop. Are you a potter? Woodturner? Jeweler? Are you interested in learning how to start selling your work or selling in different types of venues? This one-day workshop will give you information to help you get started. The format of this workshop will be classroom-style instruction, with presentations on each topic, and lots of opportunities to ask questions. We will keep the event small so that everyone can get their questions answered. The workshop will cover topics such as: pricing your work, applying to juried art fairs, considerations for setting up at art fairs, tax and bookkeeping basics, selling online through Etsy, packing and shipping your work, photographing your pieces, approaching shops and galleries, professionalism and etiquette.
