The Shenandoah Valley Art Center, during the month of October, in the Cabell/Arehart Invitational Gallery, is presenting an exhibition of artwork by BozART Fine Art Collective. In 1995 they opened a gallery on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall. The Cooperative gallery represented many artists over the years: painters, sculptors, ceramicists. For 19 years, they had monthly exhibits with member’s newest works until the gallery closed in 2014. They continued as the BozART group, finding venues in which to exhibit their work throughout the Charlottesville area. In 2016 they changed their name to BozART Fine Art Collective. The members continued to exhibit their art throughout Central Virginia art galleries, restaurants, centers, vineyards, breweries, and more. Each year many of the venues changed but three became ongoing sites for single artists or small group exhibits: Random Row Brewery and Botanical Fare, in Charlottesville, and Piedmont Place in Crozet. Presenting works in the SVAC exhibit: Juliette Swenson, Judith Ely, Chris Rich, Brita Lineberger, Shirley Paul, Matalie Deane, Julia Kindred, Carolyn Ratcliffe, and Ellen Moore Osborne. The exhibition will be open to the public October 3- 28, Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
In the SVAC Member’s Gallery the theme “Artist’s Choice” is presented in a variety of media as unique works of art, priced to accommodate art collectors seeking to expand their collection. The public is invited to view the exhibit October 3- 28, remembering that the art center serves the community by recognizing talent, encouraging creativity and joining lives through art! (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday)
