The Shenandoah Valley Art Center’s featured exhibit at the 416 Gallery is for two artists, JeJe Moore with Constructed Landscapes and William May with The End is Near. The exhibit brings together two distinct yet complementary explorations of perception, memory, and meaning. Moore’s layered paintings and collages transform experiences of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Chesapeake Bay into Landscapes that feel both familiar and imagined. May’s mixed-media works employ grids, repetition, and talismanic materials to investigate the relationship between the visible and unseen worlds. Together, these exhibitions invite viewers to consider how place, symbol, and material shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
