Shenandoah Valley Art Center presents Uplifting Watercolors I with Cliff Gleason. In these two classes we will focus on colors: use of warm and cool colors, and how to mix and use grays for harmonious but dramatic paintings. We will incorporate wet-on-wet technique, color blending, colorful shadows, and a variety of edges. The aim is to be encouraged and experience joy as we learn together. All supplies are provided by the teacher. But if you do have your own materials you wish to use, bring them along. Cliff Gleason has been painting with watercolors for over 35 years and teaching it to adults and children for over 20 years. He uses an easy step by step approach that helps even those with no experience get great results and have fun doing it. He enjoys painting in a way to let the beauty of watercolor tell a good story and lift the spirits.
