Shenandoah Valley Art Center presents: Uplifting Watercolors with Cliff Gleason. This watercolor class introduces an easy step by step approach that helps the novice and experienced artist achieve great results and have fun doing it. Gleason enjoys painting in a way that lets the beauty of watercolor tell a good story that lifts the spirits. Students will complete at least three paintings while exploring: a moonlit landscape, early morning mist on a lake, and a summer lily. They will incorporate wet-on-wet techniques, color blending, colorful shadows, a variety of edges, and adding touches of acrylic gold. Supplies: All supplies are provided by the teacher, but students may also use their own materials. Cliff Gleason has been painting with watercolors for 35 years and teaching adults and children for 20 years.
