September 4, 2022 @ 6 p.m.
Over the long and lauded course of his unique, creative run, banjo virtuoso and 16-time Grammy Award winner Béla Fleck has dug deep into his instrument’s complex global history and unlocked the breadth of its possibilities with his newly released album “My Bluegrass Heart.” The LP just won a 2022 Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. Fleck is no stranger to SVMF having performed on the Festival stage in 2011. Now he’s returning to SVMF with a new tour and an all-star lineup of award-winning musicians. Joining him on stage will be fiddler Billy Contreras, mandolinist Jacob Jolliff, multi-instrumentalist Justin Moses, bassist/multi-instrumentalist Mark Schatz, and guitarist Bryan Sutton.
