New Plains District Memorial Museum Exhibit: History of Timberville

New Plains District Memorial Museum Exhibit: History of Timberville

A new exhibit at the plains district memorial museum is devoted to the history of Timberville and highlights its main street of the late 19th and early 20th century with its shops, offices, houses, and civic organizations. At the center of the exhibit is the 1916 hand-powered hose cart used by the first town fire department.
Also featured is the Dr. Welty B. Fahrney collection of photographs from the early 1900's.
The exhibit is based on the research of Stephany Langton and Bev Garber.
