M(other)ing Art Exhibition
M(other)ing Art Exhibition
An exhibition dedicated to creating space for designers and creators producing work about motherhood, womb-bearing bodies, reproductive journeys, and living child-free.
Reproductive care is universal. Whether you care for a child or not, these experiences are part of human existence. While these events are universal, they are also universally politicized. Themes related to motherhood, motherly bodies, and reproductive journeys, do not often find a place in design research. The exhibition pushes boundaries between art and design by focusing on individual reproductive journeys and social, revealing that design has a role in shaping individual experiences, improving collective outcomes, and connecting communities.
The opening reception takes place Wednesday, October 29 and the exhibit will be on display through December 3.
