Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance is excited to announce its upcoming Independence Day Fireworks show on Friday, July 5 at 9 PM. Bring your family and friends to witness the stunning colors and awe-inspiring explosions lighting up the night sky following the Levitt AMP Harrisonburg Music Series show at the Turner Pavilion lawn.
Independence Day is an important holiday for many Americans, and this year's celebration will be one to remember. If you're planning on attending the fireworks display, here are some viewing locations in and around Downtown Harrisonburg that are optimal for viewing:

• Food Maxx International Market, 924 W. Market St.
• JMU Memorial Hall Parking Lots, 395 S. High St.
• Thomas Harrison Middle School, 1311 W. Market St.

The public is invited to make a day out of the fireworks viewing with several activities taking place in Downtown Harrisonburg on Friday, July 5. The Arts Council of the Valley’s First Friday will be taking place across multiple locations from 5 – 7 PM, followed by the Levitt AMP Harrisonburg Music Series from 6 – 9 PM at the Turner Pavilion Lawn. Enjoy new works of art, take part in downtown's culinary scene, and enjoy a free performance from nationally touring artists Florencia & The Feeling and Yam Yam.
