Turner Ashby High School will present Hadestown: Teen Edition. Hadestown: Teen Edition by Anais Mitchell, blends modern American folk music and New Orleans jazz while telling the classic ancient Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone. The story reimagines the myths and invites the audience on a haunting and hopeful journey to the underworld and back. Ultimately the story proves that love overcomes all obstacles.

We are so excited to share our 2025 Turner Ashby Musical experience. Hadestown was the 2019 Tony winner for Best Musical, Best Original Score as well as 6 other Tony awards. It was released in April 2024 as a teen edition so high school students across the world would be able to perform in this work that is sure to be a classic.
