Garden Basics: When, Where, and How to Prune

At 2 p.m. Saturday, November 22, the Piedmont Master Gardeners will present “When, Where, and How to Prune,” a free Garden Basics class. It will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1118 Preston Ave. in Charlottesville. The session will explain how pruning can improve the health and structure of shrubs and young tree. It will cover when to prune various species, where and how to make proper cuts, the right tools and how to use them, and how to prune safely. Register at https://piedmontmastergardeners.org/events/ to reserve a place in the class. Registration closes at 5 p.m. November 21 or when the class is full. The Garden Basics series is a partnership with the Bread & Roses ministry at Trinity Episcopal Church.
