Garden Basics: Indoor Gardening—You Don’t Need a Green Thumb
Want to grow plants successfully in your home? Indoor gardening has been “growing” in popularity over the last several years. Learn how to grow plants indoors to beautify your surroundings. By taking into account environmental factors you will be well on your way to long term “plant parent” success. We will focus on plant selection, repotting, containers, and ways to maximize your use of greenery indoors.
At 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, the Piedmont Master Gardeners will present a free Garden Basics class: “Indoor Gardening—You Don’t Need a Green Thumb.” The program is open to all and will be held at the Barn at James Monroe’s Highland, 2050 James Monroe Parkway, Charlottesville. It will cover plant selection, repotting, containers, environmental factors affecting houseplants, and how to maximize the use of greenery to beautify a home. Space is limited. To register, visit https://piedmontmastergardeners.org/events/. Registration closes at 5 p.m. February 14 or when the class is full. Email gardenbasics@piedmontmastergardeners.org with questions.
