2024 Fort Harrison Colonial Trades Fair

June 15th 10AM to 3PM
Learn how 18th Century colonial trades contributed to the settlement of the Shenandoah Valley. Includes demonstrations of: white oak basketmaking, flintknapping, engraving, colonial medicine, spinning and weaving, tape loom weaving, gunsmithing, farrier, smoked food preservation, broom making, pottery and more.
Colonial dancing and flintlock rifle demonstrations.
Handcrafted items available for purchase.
In recognition of the construction of the original stone house 275 years ago, there will be a special demonstration of colonial stone masonry skills.
Hands-on activities for kids. Bring the family.
