The Massanutten Fall Festival is the perfect reason to get outdoors and take in the foliage from one of the world’s most scenic mountain resorts. For more than 20 years, Massanutten has welcomed attendees for a celebration of all things fall, which includes three talented bands on the main stage, beer garden, wine & cider sampling, food trucks, and scenic chairlift rides. Plus, this year's Fall Festival is serving up tons of activities to keep the little ones busy. Bring the whole family and discover (or re-discover) the Massanutten Fall Festival!

Kids 6 and under are free! (Kids admission includes chairlift ride.) Adult admission ticket does not include chairlift ride voucher.

2022 Fall Festival Band line Up

South River Strings | 12 noon - 1:30 pm

South River Strings is a four piece bluegrass, country, new grass band. From the harmonies to the beautiful sounds of acoustic instruments we try to bring you a full experience of Appalachia and the way we all grew up with picking on the front porch.

South River Strings (SRS) was formed by a group of friends pickin’ for fun. They soon came to find their voices and playing ability collided beautifully. With roots in bluegrass rock and roll and the blues SRS bring a unique blend of those genres in all of their music whether it is traditional bluegrass to 60s and 70s rock covers to slow waltzes. SRS was selected to be one of ten artists to represent the state of Virginia for a benefit concert for St Jude’s research that raised tens of thousands of dollars to help children. The bluegrass sounds of SRS the unique vocals harmonies and bluesy licks are bound to keep your attention.

Kittyback | 2 - 3:30 pm

KiTTYBACK is a 4 person band based in New Freedom, PA fronted by female vocalist, Emily Throckmorton.

The Barons | 4 - 5:30 pm

Hailing from historic Charlottesville, Virginia in 2016, The Barons confront youthful themes of love and fear into their ethereal, booty shakin' rock n’ roll music. Fresh into their twenties, The Barons are frontman Peyton Alley, lead guitarist Josiah Ragland, bassist Kirtland Gray, and drummer Mathes Glymph. With extensive touring in the US college circuit and supporting the tours of top Billboard artists (i.e. Judah and the Lion, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Barns Courtney, The Aces, etc.) behind their back, The Barons have quickly developed their arena potential. The band currently has 12 singles released and there's no question their writing is prep for a full-length. The band intertwines intricate time signatures and heavy pop melodies into their tunes such as “Tell Me (There’s No One But You)” and “Yard Sale” while holding onto their straight forward rock n’ roll roots in tunes such as “Hands On” and “American High” that represent their journeys on tour through the road less travelled. Each song the band has released remains versatile in their ‘genre placement’ making the band’s writing and live shows that much more intriguing.

$7 Chairlift Rides | Vouchers will be for sale at the admission gate or in advance at the Massanutten Concierge Desk, The Market, or the General Store thru October 8. Kids 6 & under are free (no voucher needed) and must be accompanied by an adult (36" minimum height requirement). Chairlift rides will start at 11:45 am. Please be in line with voucher no later than 3:00 pm. Average wait/ride time can be 2-3 hours if taking the full ride to the top of the peak. Please no baby/child carriers on chairlift rides.

All event attendees will be required to follow current COVID-19 federal and state guidelines, along with guidelines set forth by Massanutten Resort.
