Eunoia Theatre Presents: The Burial at Thebes
Poet Seamus Heaney’s adaptation of Sophocles "Antigone" offers a fresh perspective on the tragedy's classic themes of state power, conscience, and the dignity of the dead. Through beautifully spare and haunting Irish verse, the unstoppable collision of family loyalty and civic law are brought into an emotionally charged focus, from initial defiance to devastating aftermath.
