Dog Days of Summer Dog Show & Parade

Dog Days of Summer Dog Show & Parade
The Central Shenandoah Valley Master Gardener Association invites the community to join the fun at Dog Days of Summer, a tail-wagging celebration happening Saturday, June 19 at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market at Turner Pavilion.
This lively event will feature a dog show that's sure to delight, complete with clever tricks and high canine fashion. Registration begins at 9:30 AM at the Master Gardener tent in the overflow area behind the Pavilion, and judging kicks off at 10:00 AM, followed by awards and a parade around the Market. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
The Rockingham Harrisonburg SPCA will be on site with information about adoptable pets and ways to support their important work. Whether you're ready to adopt or just want a dose of puppy love, this is your chance to meet some very good boys and girls.
While you're at the Market, treat your furry friend to something special from Thistle Hill Pet Treats, known for their artisan treats and pet fashion accessories like bandanas and bowties. And don’t miss the Master Gardeners’ tent, where you'll learn about dog-themed plants and how gardening and pet love can grow side by side.
