The Charlottesville Jazz Society and WTJU are pleased to welcome guitarist Charlie Ballantine and his trio to Charlottesville for the first time. They will perform at The Belmont Arts Collaborative!
All About Jazz says “jazz, rock and folk music peacefully coexist in Charlie Ballantine’s world.” Ballantine has released many acclaimed albums as a leader, including “Life is Brief: The Music of Bob Dylan,” “Vonnegut” (original compositions inspired by the writings of fellow mid-westerner Kurt Vonnegut), and “Reflections,” featuring Charlie’s interpretations of Thelonious Monk classics.
