CANCELED - Bluebird Parade for Foster Children
CANCELED - Bluebird Parade for Foster Children
With apologies to all the bluebirds who put on their best finery – You may not be able to see our 2022 Bluebird Parade in person, but you can see the fabulous Bluebird Parade online: https://bit.ly/3LMkQi8
Each year in April, The Foster Care and Adoption Awareness Coalition (FCAAC) asks the community to donate bluebird works of art, one to represent each child in foster care. Artists, families, children, and organizations create an amazing array of inspiring bluebirds. And in May, all the artworks flock together for the Bluebird Parade for Foster Children.
The parade has historically taken place on Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall during the First Friday in May, but rain has canceled this year's event.
The Foster Care Adoption Awareness Coalition consists of these local nonprofits: People Places, Community Attention Foster Families (CAFF), Piedmont CASA, the Departments of Social Services in Albemarle and Charlottesville, DePaul Community Resources, and Great Expectations.
