Author Talk & Book Signing
The Plains District Memorial Museum will host a talk and book signing by local author William L. Zirk, whose recently published book, The Forgotten People Of Rockingham County, Virginia, tells the story of the early 1900's almshouses established by the county for the poor people of the area.
Bill will speak at 2:30pm about the process of researching, writing, and publishing his book on this little-known aspect of local history.
