Three siblings kidnapped from Fishersville apartment complex

An AMBER Alert was issued today for three children abducted from Fishersville. WMRA's Randi B. Hagi reports.

Police believe the children were taken by their biological mother, 35-year-old Shanice Chante Davidson of Evergreen, Alabama. Davidson is described at standing five-foot-six and weighing 185 pounds.

UPDATE: The Augusta County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday evening that Davidson was arrested without incident in the Birmingham, Alabama area after a brief pursuit on I-495. The three children were safe and unharmed.

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office reports that three children were kidnapped from the Bobby's Way apartment complex in Fishersville around 7:40 a.m. on Thursday. Ten-year-old Jai'Marcus Lewis, eight-year-old Ja'Miyah Lewis, and six-year-old Ja'Liyah Lewis were waiting for the bus when a black, four-door vehicle pulled up and took the children. The siblings are African American and have black hair and brown eyes. Both girls were wearing pink jackets and the boy was wearing a black and dark blue jacket with neon zippers. State police announced the kids may be with their biological mother, Shanice Davidson, possibly traveling in a newer black Nissan Sentra. The sheriff's office announced this evening that Davidson may be taking the children to Alabama.
