WMRA is excited to unveil its new logo, marking a vibrant new chapter in the station's 50-year history of public service.
The new logo, designed by Robert Mott & Associates Graphic Design, features a modern and streamlined design that incorporates a stylized series of circles, each radiating and overlapping, echoing the station’s mission to connect, inform, and inspire. It reflects the beauty of the region WMRA serves while underscoring the station's commitment to thoughtful journalism, diverse voices, and dynamic storytelling.
2025 marks our 50th year as an NPR station, and this fresh look reinforces our mission to provide high-quality programming, foster community dialogue, and ensure that public radio remains a vital part of daily life in the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia.
To celebrate this new logo launch and our 50th anniversary as an NPR station, WMRA will host an open house on Thursday November 14th. Details to come!
WMRA is also planning a community listening tour in 2025 and will spend the year sharing on-air moments that highlight the station's past.
Thank you to the many listeners and members who have helped us achieve this milestone!
