Shenandoah LGBTQ Center to host health fair this Sunday
The Shenandoah LGBTQ Center is holding their third health and wellness fair this year for subpopulations of the LGBTQ community. WMRA's Randi B. Hagi reports.
On June 26th from 12 to 3 p.m., Black, Indigenous, and other people of color within the LGBTQ community are invited to the center for a health and wellness fair.
ANHTHU NGUYEN: We really want to provide some platform and space for them to seek care and have difficult conversations and to do all of that in the safety of the Shenandoah LGBTQ Center.
AnhThu Nguyen is the executive director of the organization. More than a dozen different healthcare services will be present at the fair, including COVID vaccines and boosters, mental healthcare providers, and free STI testing.
The center is located on the 5th floor of the Masonic Building on Beverly Street in Staunton.
