Suspect indicted in case of missing Khaleesi Cuthriell

The two people of interest in the disappearance of a three-year-old girl, who is presumed dead, remain behind bars while the gears of the courts turn. WMRA's Randi B. Hagi reports.

Candi Jo Royer was indicted for felony child abuse by a grand jury on Monday, and the investigation into three-year-old Khaleesi Cuthriell's disappearance is ongoing.

Augusta County Commonwealth's Attorney Timothy Martin told WMRA in an email, [quote] "In an effort to maintain the integrity of the investigation and potential trial, I have asked everyone involved in the matter to refrain from making public comments." [end quote] He said the sheriff's office is working very hard on the case.

Other charges are still pending from Royer and Travis Ryan Brown's alleged crime spree across multiple jurisdictions when they fled Waynesboro last fall, including carjacking and entering a house to commit assault and battery.
