A Virginia Pedaling Update


When was the last time you were on a bicycle?  Most agree it is great exercise.  So what is keeping you from riding more?  After years of effort,  cycling advocates have recently won legislative changes designed to make Virginia roads at least somewhat safer for cyclists.   Whether or not it’s enough to get you back on a bike is just one of the things we consider on this Bicycling Update edition of Virginia Insight.

Thomas Jenkins - Former professional mountain bike racer.  Co-owner of Shenandoah Bicycle  in Harrisonburg.  Advocacy Coordinator for the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition .  Chair of the City of Harrisonburg’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Subcommittee.

Ruth Stornetta, Ph.D. - Member of the cyclists’ advocacy group Bike Charlottesville and past president of the Virginia Bicycling Federation.
