In the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, Corey Stewart has beaten Nick Freitas (45% to 43%) with 99% of precincts reporting. Stewart will run against Democratic incumbent Tim Kaine. In each of four Congressional districts in the WMRA area, Democratic women will challenge Republican candidates.
Jennifer Wexton has won the Democratic primary in the 10th district (98% of precincts reporting), to challenge Republican incumbent Barbara Comstock. Democrat Jennifer Lewis is the winner in the 6th, to take on Republican Ben Cline (96% of precincts reporting). And in the 7th, Abigail Spanberger is the Democrat who will challenge incumbent Republican Dave Brat.
