WMRA is making some changes to our lineup of shows starting Wednesday, August 1st and Saturday and Sunday, August 4th and 5th.

Check out the changes and new additions:

The Pulse is new to WMRA – you’ll hear it Wednesdays at 3pm.  It’s a show for curious people who are always asking “Why?" The Pulse makes science and discovery a personal journey.  Host Maiken Scott weaves this one-hour tour of people and places at the heart of health and science featuring scientists, doctors, innovators and storytelling from across the country.

Another new show we’re adding to the mix is Travel with Rick Steves, Sundays at 7am, covering travel and cultures across every continent.  Featuring the author of 30 travel guidebooks and longtime TV host of Rick Steves' Europe, we’ll hear experts on various cultures and travel experiences.  Pack your bags and book your flight with WMRA as we take you around the globe through your speakers.

Reveal will be another new show to the WMRA lineup, Sundays at 4pm. There’s always more to every story as Reveal guides you along with in-depth investigative journalism.  A Peabody Award-winning program from The Center for Investigative Reporting and PRX, the show reveals the heart of the story with a team of investigators tackling tough topics from immigration, the environment, crime, politics and more.

The Blues has always had a home on WMRA.  We continue that tradition with Beale St. Caravan, bringing live, in-concert performances from contemporary masters of blues, soul, gospel, and rock n roll traditions. Hosted by Pat Mitchell-Worley and Kevin Cubbins, the show features the soul of the blues, with heartfelt sounds and colorful stories of music in intimate live performances.

Mountain Stage will now get a second airing at Saturday Nights at 8.

With Good Reason is moving to Wednesday nights and 8 (and will stay right where it is on Sundays at 3:30).

Chris Boros is WMRA’s Program Director and local host from 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.
