Martha Woodroof Counts Her "Small Blessings"

Plenty of people toy with the idea of writing a book, but few will actually get published, and by the time we reach our mid-60’s, those dreams may fade.

Not so for Martha Woodroof, a WMRA public radio personality who has published her first novel at the age of 67.  It’s called Small Blessings, and it’s getting rave reviews, as Sandy Hausman reports.

Sandy Hausman joined our news team in 2008 after honing her radio skills in Chicago. Since then, she's won several national awards for her reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists, the Society of Environmental Journalists, the Radio, Television and Digital News Association and the Public Radio News Directors' Association.
