Virginia held primary elections on Tuesday, June 11th. Find links to results here....Republicans currently have a 51-48 majority in the House of Delegates and a 21-19 majority in the Senate. In November 2017, Democrats won 15 Republican-held seats in the House, the biggest electoral shift toward Democrats since 1899.
This year, Republicans will fight to retain their majorities, while Democrats hope to gain majorities in both chambers. But scandals involving all three statewide officeholders (the governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general, all Democrats) are limiting their ability to campaign for their party's candidates.
