Do "The Arts" Matter to You?

Arts and Culture are nice, but how important are they really?

One Virginia community recently discovered that, in dollar terms, arts and culture are generating far more millions for the local economy that most anyone had previously imagined.

Whether it’s economics or something else that most appeals to you -- if you’ve got reasons of your own for supporting the arts, we’d like to hear from you.

Guests:
George Beller, M.D.
- Board of Directors Chair for the Piedmont Council for the Arts. Professor Emeritus and former Chief of Cardiology, University of Virginia Medical School.

Sarah Lawson - Executive Director, Piedmont Council for the Arts.

Robert C. Vaughan III, Ph.D. - President and Founding Director of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities. Co-chair of Create Charlottesville/Albemarle: A Cultural Plan.

Tom Graham was Senior Producer and host of WMRA's Virginia Insight from 2006 to 2015.
