Sylvia Whitney Beitzel

Sylvia J. Whitney Beitzel joined WMRA in August of 2021 and is on-air Sunday afternoons and evenings.  Over the last 20 years, she has worked in the Education and Non-Profit Sectors, specializing in Community and Family Development, Intercultural Communication, Conflict Mediation and Language Translation.  Sylvia grew up in South America, and moved to Virginia in the early 2000s.  She and her small family have nested in the Shenandoah Valley, and their extended family resides in the area, in Maryland, Argentina and the Philippines. Sylvia loves radio, music and any chance to foster Latin American Arts, Culture and Language. You may also find her among plants, sowing and harvesting on the outskirts of Harrisonburg.
