Shenandoah Valley Art Center Exhibit: Matt Phelan's Futures Past

Shenandoah Valley Art Center Exhibit: Matt Phelan's Futures Past

The Shenandoah Valley Art Center during the month of September, in the 416 W. Main Street Gallery, is presenting Matt Phelan’s exhibition, Futures Past. It is a fever dream through alternate pasts and a glimpse into the impending future. The past, black and white photography that utilizes historic photographs sourced from the Library of Congress. Combining different elements to create new, surreal scenes. And the future in full color, acrylic paintings that all look forward towards uncertainty. Matt is a working illustrator and graphic designer. He lives in Staunton with his family and works from a studio at Shenandoah Valley Art Center. An opening will be held Saturday, September 7, 5:00- 7:00 p.m. and guests are welcome to come, meet, and talk to the artist. The exhibition will be open September 7 – October 10, Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 416 W. Main. St, Waynesboro, VA 22980
