Corrie Lynn Green was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. Drawing from her deep roots in rural Appalachia, she writes and reflects the secrets and stories of life in a small town. Heartbreak, Rebellion, Hardship, and Joy walk you down a path of self discovery and acceptance while staying true to the strength and grit that defines her story and the story of so many living the mountain way. She has received many accolades for her songwriting, has received a grant from the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County Arts Council of the Valley to perform her Appalachian story on stage, was recently picked for the coveted spot in the top ten song writer's competition for the Tuscon Folk Festival where she placed third, and is releasing her first full length album produced by Doug Fearn. Corrie recently spoke with WMRA's Tina Owens about the new album.
