He is an author, blogger and activist for nonviolence, and he's visiting Harrisonburg on Thursday, April 19th to talk about those lessons.  Arun was born in apartheid-era South Africa in 1934 and moved to India at the age of 12 shortly before Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated.  Bob talked with Arun Gandhi about his life and his work, and Mr. Gandhi began by recounting the racial violence he confronted as a child in South Africa.

Arun Gandhi will visit James Madison University April 19 to present "Lessons Learned from My Grandfather: Nonviolence in a Violent World." Gandhi's presentation, which is open to the public free of charge, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Wilson Hall Auditorium.
