If you're looking to give money to help earthquake relief efforts in Haiti, here are a few of the larger, established international aid organizations responding to the disaster. We do not endorse any particular organizations. There are many more than these.

Clinton Bush Haiti Fund
UNICEF
World Food Programme
Save the Children
Global Giving
Convoy of Hope
Partners in Health
Another way some organizations are collecting donations is through text messages. You can text "HAITI" to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red
Cross relief for Haiti, charged to your cell phone bill.
There are also a number of online tools available for evaluating charities, including CharityNavigator.org and NetworkForGood.org.
Local Relief Efforts:
All Blue Ridge Mountain Sports locations are now serving as drop-off points for the Shelter for Haiti tent drive. In an effort to provide critically needed shelter for victims of the January 12th earthquake that struck Haiti, Blue Ridge staff will be collecting tents in good working condition with all parts accounted for and any new tarps people are willing to donate. All tents & tarps will be inspected and shipped to Convoy of Hope and then delivered to their warehouse outside of Haiti’s capital city, Port-au-Prince.
The Robert Ford Haitian Foundation is a Charlottesville-based foundation that runs an orphanage and school at Grison-Garde, Haiti. Contributions to support their efforts for Haiti's youth can be made at their website.
Charlottesville's Building Goodness Foundation (BGF) has two building projects within 15 miles of the magnitude 7.0 earthquake’s epicenter. An anonymous donor has issued a challenge grant to rebuild with partner organizations, particularly the House of David Community Health Center in Thomassin. They are currently accepting matching gifts at their website.
Mennonite Central Committee has committed an initial $100,000 for immediate needs in Haiti, and anticipates a multimillion-dollar response over a period of years. They are appealing for donations to fund these efforts.
Virginia Mennonite Missions is actively seeking doctors, nurses, and supplies to send to Haiti IMMEDIATELY (the first team is leaving end of this week). Call (540) 434-9727 or email philip.rhodes@vmmissions.org if you can go or know someone who might be able to in the next weeks.
Needed supplies include over-the-counter medicines, pain-killers, bandages, anti-septic creams, antibiotics, etc., which can be dropped off at the Virginia Mennonite Missions office at 901 Parkwood Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
